Edinburgh Young Musicians runs approximately 40 classes on Saturdays between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. during school term time, providing group music tuition for schoolchildren and for children in their final pre-school year, ages 3 to 18.  A fresh timetable is constructed each summer to cater for the specific requirements of each academic year.  This is finalised during August.  Please click here for details of classes on offer.

Although all teaching is done in groups, children are encouraged to take individual instrumental lessons outwith EYM where this is appropriate. In addition to employing teaching staff, EYM also employs assistants to help with many of the classes – usually students or senior pupils.

Classes take place at George Watson’s College Junior School, EH10 5EG.  As well as using teaching rooms, Edinburgh Young Musicians has the use of a well-equipped playground and the Dining Hall where parents and children can wait when not in classes.
